Words and Wonder presents an approach for introducing students to high school English - inviting them to engage with ways of writing through creative experimentation. We consider research on engagement and creativity, and explore the practical implications for our classrooms. Leave the course with a ton of resources for implementation, strategies for establishing creative community and a fresh (and informed!) perspective on creativity in education.

‘Creative Classrooms’ explores research-backed strategies to foster creativity in English and Humanities classrooms, equipping teachers with practical and purposeful strategies to enhance student engagement in creative practice. Grounded in contemporary research, the course aims to empower educators to cultivate an innovative, flexible and reflective community of learners.

This course explores practical, research-backed strategies that make grammar intuitive, interactive and meaningful for middle school students. Through playful exploration, multimodal learning, and real-world application, teachers will discover how to unpack grammar concepts in ways that stick, encourage curiosity and experimentation with language and integrate grammatical instruction seamlessly into substantive learning activities.
